Smith's/City
Catering is a "hands on" catering company run by the proprietors,
along with a retail takeaway sandwich and salad bar. Our goal is
to provide imaginative catering of the highest possible standard
using only the best quality ingredients. We are equally adept at
providing a service ranging from freshly made sandwich platters
to formal silver service luncheons. Being a small company we are
more flexible and are able to meet most challenges demanded of us.
This includes working evenings, weekends and bank holidays - The
most popular time for our famous barbecue events with hot Nan bread
cooked in our Tandoor oven!
All
our supplies are GM free. All chicken and eggs are free range. Pork
is outdoor reared. Beef is Aberdeen Angus steer, under 30 months
old. Tuna is Dolphin friendly. Prawns and Crayfish are fresh - never
frozen.
Smiths
operates a policy of "due diligence" where hygiene is
concerned. This requires staff to be aware of hazard points during
the stages of food receipt, preparation, storage and delivery. All
Smith's staff hold the basic Food and Hygiene Certificate from the
Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
Our kitchens are open for inspection without notice, any time during
working hours (6am to 4pm).
